Most of the tests ordered for you will be performed at conventional laboratories (such as Labcorp), others are only available through specialty laboratories, and some tests may be performed at home and mailed to the appropriate lab for evaluation. During your Case Review Consultation, Dr. Robles will determine which tests are needed and then we will review the testing instructions (for example: fasting or non-fasting, etc.) as well as the cost of each test.
Our recommended lab tests help us assess the health of your different body systems, nutritional status (including amino acids, fatty acids, oxidative stress, vitamin levels), mitochondrial function, food allergies, and heavy metals. Genetic testing is recommended for a variety of conditions, while others may be ordered depending upon your specific condition to further evaluate hormone evaluations, bone health, gastrointestinal health, adrenal function or any other relevant systems. Additionally, you may be sent home with or receive home test kits to collect urine, saliva or stool.
Some test results may require follow up tests as you journey down Your Path To Health, while others may not require re-testing. Re-testing procedures for your tests will be discussed with you and we will assist you in coordinating follow-up testing. The recommended lab tests will provide the doctor with a more complete picture of your current health status, the severity of any dysfunction, and the information necessary to help you make the best choices for improving your health. Please keep in mind that effective initial care plans can be implemented without some tests, or we can complete other tests over a set period of time. You should not let this prevent you from seeking help from us.

Some insurance providers may cover portions of the services and laboratory tests performed by the doctor. Payment in full by cash, check or credit card is due prior to or at the time services are provided.
Most doctors are trained to look for pathology (or disease) in specific organ systems and typically are restrained by our insurance system to only run the basic lab tests. This model of care does not allow doctors to step “outside of the box” and help patients with health problems that do not fit a typical presentation or have not progressed to the point of disease. With chronic disease there are usually multiple contributing factors that continue to cause a patient to suffer with symptoms. Some of the causes of chronic health problems cannot be found with the basic lab tests that insurance routinely covers. The basic tests that your doctors use do not look for food allergies & sensitivities, hidden infections, leaky gut syndrome, environmental toxins, mold exposures, nutritional deficiencies and metabolic imbalances. Genetic testing for Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) can identify variations in your genes that cause health challenges that lead to disease. This innovative test allows us to modify your diet, lifestyle, supplements to help normalize the function of pathways that help your body heal.
Dr. Robles uses these tests to help his patients recover from many chronic and difficult to treat conditions, as well as prevent the onset of new conditions. We are highly skilled at evaluating, assessing and treating chronic problems such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndromes, autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders, mood and behavior disorders, memory problems, Parkinson’s disease and other chronic, complex conditions. We also focus on the prevention and treatment of heart disease, diabetes, dementia, hormonal imbalances and digestive disorders.
